The last date cited there being that of the year 456 of the hegira (1064), in which an epizootic stopped a conflict between the people of Shirvan and those of Derbend. This mediocre work was composed at the instigation of the prince of Dagestan, Čoban Beg; it was first written in Persian, according to Arab and Persian chronicles, then translated into Turkish. This manuscript was given to the King's Library in January 1821 by Mr. Steven, state advisor to the Emperor of Russia. Western binding, in calfskin.
