Markazī, I, Tehran, 1330H., p. 222 Ṭahrānī, Ḏarīʿa (...), Tehran-Naǧaf, 1972, no. 5513, p. 372.. We read in f. 3 notes on fiqh, in the same hand as the very numerous Persian glosses, taken from different works, which occupy the margins of text No. I and the Persian extract from the Malfūz̤āt of Šayẖ Aḥmad. In f. 115 shows a formula of istiġfār. In the margin of No. IV, in another hand, there are glosses in Arabic. Anonymous copies. There appear to be at least four different Indian hands: No. I is in Nastaʿlīq of 17 lines per page and was completed (f. 110) on a Thursday, at the time of afternoon prayer; No. II, in Nastaʿlīq of 15 lines; No. III, in Nastaʿlīq of 17 lines like Nos. IV and V, completed (f. 206) on 13 Rabīʿ I of the 65th [sic; read 45th?] year of a ǧulūs [that of the Mughal Awrangzēb, therefore in 1113H. ?] ; No. VI in Nastaʿlīq of 20 to 21 lines. Heading titles; advertisements. Written surfaces; 110 × 200 mm (nos I and III to V); 95 × 170 (No. II) and 110 × 215 (No. VI). Ms. of 180 × 265.. Treatise on the reading of the Qurʾān by Ḥasan b. Šuǧāʿ b. M.b. Ḥasan [Ḥāfiz̤] al-Tūnī (f. 296). Incipit: (بسم ...) الحمد لله رب العالمین (...) امّا بعد فنقول اضعف عباد الله (...) (the text is followed in f. 300v-301 of eleven lines in Persian Incipit: بدانکه محاسن قراءت هفت است ...).. The titles of the works in the collection are transcribed in red pencil on f. 2v, 115v, 159, 207 and 303 (“Hoejet ùlislam”, “Vicka”, etc.). The ms. would be among those that Father Pons S.J. sent from Chandernagore to the Royal Library around 1732-3. A notice signed by Armain (n° 129) occupies f. 1-1v.. Indian binding in red morocco cold-stamped with a central plate in polylobed mandorla (35 × 54 mm; identical to that of Persan 290, the decoration being close to the OSd 8 type) and fleurons (identical to those of the bindings of Persan 103, Persan 125, Persan 290 and Persan 378), on pieces of papier-mâché, framed by three yellow painted nets. The binding comes from the same workshop as those of the ms. 103, 125, 290 and 378; all these volumes have the same origin (in his memoir on the books prepared in 1732 in Chandernagor to be sent, cf. Omont, Archaeological Missions, II, Paris, 1902, p. 1186, Father Pons indicates having spent 3 sicas rupees and 8 anas for the bindings of the Persian books).
