Turkish writing, by the hand of a copyist, named Yousouf ibn Amr Allah, who dated his work to the month of Shaʿban in the year 1004 AH (March 31-April 28, 1596).. Divided into five chapters, details of which are given on folio 6 verso; the first containing the congratulatory formulas; the second, letters of intercession and recommendation; the third, letters of friendship and good relations; the fourth, those of condolence; the fifth, model formulas for different objects that do not fit into the first four categories. The author, who was a poet, interspersed verses in Arabic in several of these compositions. We find, on the front of the first leaf, a list of several treatises of correspondence, both in Persian and in Turkish, which belonged to one of the owners of this manuscript. Bound in calfskin, with the numeral of Louis-Philippe.
