Notes
A modern piece consisting of four pages, from the beginning of which something was omitted, and between the pages there is also a number of papers, in which the author translated it for his father, Badr al-Din Muhammad bin Radhi al-Din Muhammad al-Ghazi, who died in the year 984 AH [Kahhala 7/288; And Brockelmann 2/361]. The text was written in viscous black ink, and the copyist used red ink to write chapter titles, warning lines, their marks, and some dividing points between sentences, on a European-made embossed paper in which parallel lines and the trademark watermark [two triangles hanging from a column] appear in the form of two lamps. Some of the copy's footnotes are heavy with comments and corrections attributed by the copyist or added by the author to the original, and with explanations and comments, which suggests that this is the author's copy and his handwriting. The copy was severely wet in its upper parts, which led to the leaves falling apart and parts of the text and comments being lost.
