The title page contains some unclear words, as it is written: Written by Sheikh Imam Al-Habir Al-Bahr Al-Fahama Sheikh... The Honorable Al-Hafiz Abi... Ismail... The Almighty. At the bottom of the page: Al-Hajji Muhammad bin Al-Hajji Ahmad took over and the supervisor. In the margin of the text are quotes from Al-Kirmani’s and Al-Qastalani’s commentaries on Sahih Al-Bukhari. There are no endowment seals in the entire copy, nor are there possessions or speakers. Explanations and comments have been written within the text itself in small handwriting. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

حدَّثنا أَبو الوقتِ عبدُ الأوَّلِ بنُ عيسى بنِ شُعيبِ بنِ إسْحاقَ السِّجزيُّ الصّوفيّ الهرويّ، قِراءةً عليْه ونحنُ نسمعُ، ببغدادَ في آخرِ سنةِ اثنتَينِ وأوَّلِ سنةِ ثلاثٍ وخَمسينَ وخمسمائةٍ، قيلَ لَه: أخبركُم الإمامُ جمالُ الإسْلامِ أَبو الحسنِ عبدُ الرَّحمنِ بنُ محمّدِ بنِ المظفَّرِ بنِ محمّدِ بنِ داوُدَ بنِ أحمدَ بنِ مُعاذِ بنِ سهلِ بنِ الحكمِ الدّاوُديّ، قِراءةً عليْه ببوشنج في شهورِ ذي القعْدةِ سنةَ خمسٍ وستّينَ وأرْبعمائةٍ، أخبَرنا أَبو محمّدٍ عبدُ اللهِ بنُ أحمدَ بنِ حمّويَه السرَخْسيّ، قِراءةً ونحنُ نسمعُ سنةَ إحْدى وثمانينَ وثلثمائةٍ، أخبَرنا الإمامُ أَبو عبدِ اللهِ محمَّدُ بنُ يوسُف بنِ مطرِ بنِ صالِحِ بنِ بشْرِ بنِ إبْراهيمَ البُخاريّ الفربْريّ، بفربْر سنةَ ستّ عشرةَ وثلاثمائةٍ، أخبرَنا الإمامُ أبو عبدِ اللهِ محمَّدُ بنُ إسْماعيلَ بنِ إبْراهيمَ بنِ المُغيرةِ بنِ الأحنفِ الجعْفيّ موْلاهُم البُخاريّ، مرَّتينِ بفربر سنةَ ثمانٍ وأربعينَ ومائتَين مرَّةً، ومرَّةً سنةَ اثنتَينِ وخمسينَ ومائتَين.
