The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on the Eclipse Prayer... ...at the end of the manuscript: Chapter on the saying of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that the dead person will be tortured because of the crying of his family... The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, passed by a Jewish woman whose family was crying for her, and he said that they will cry for her, and that she will be tortured in her grave. The third part of Sahih al-Bukhari was completed.
