Corrected version. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | “From the chapter on conditions in the sale to the chapter on ascension.”

Abd al-Rahman ibn Maslama told us, al-Layth told us on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Urwa, that Aisha told him that Barirah had come to seek her help in writing it, but she had not completed anything of her writing. Aisha said to her, “Go back to your family.” Chapter: If the seller stipulates that the blood-money will appear to a designated place, it is permissible. ... Chapter on the Ascension: Hadba ibn Khalid told us, Hammam ibn Yahya Qatada told us, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik ibn Sa’sa’ah, that the Prophet of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, narrated on the authority of the night I traveled with him while I was in Al-Hatim... Al-Humaidi told us, Sufyan told us, Amr told us, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, in the Almighty’s saying, “And He did not place us in visions”... قَد وقفَتْ صاحبةُ الخيراتِ والحسناتِ، الرَّاغبةُ إِلى طرقِ المبرَّاتِ، فاطِمة خاتون بنْت مصْطفى جلبي الشّهير بباقولو هذا المجلَّدَ مِن صَحيحِ البُخاريِّ حسْبةً للهِ تَعالى وابتِغاءً لمرْضاتِه يومَ لا ينفعُ مالٌ ولا بنونَ إلَّا مَن أَتى اللهَ بقلبٍ سليمٍ، لا يباعُ ولا يوهَبُ ولا يورَثُ ولا يؤجرُ، فمَن بدَّله بعدَ ما سمِعه فإنَّما إثمُه عَلى الَّذينَ يبدِّلونَه إنَّ اللهَ سميعٌ عليمٌ
