It has a lot of repetition of pages, and it has some comments. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

“Chapter on the abundance of women. Ibrahim bin Musa told us. Hisham bin Yusuf told us.... Ibn Abbas said: This is the wife of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. When you lift up her coffin, do not shake her, do not shake her, and be gentle, for the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, had nine. He used to divide them into eight, but not one.” ... “Chapter on tattooing. Zuhair bin Harb told us, Jurayj told us on the authority of Amara... on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said, ‘Umar was brought with a woman who smelled.... I heard the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saying, ‘Do not smell, and do not get tattooed.’ Muhammad ibn Al-Muthanna told us, saying, ‘Abdul Rahman told us... on the authority of Abdullah. May God curse the tattooed women, the tattooed women, and those who reveal themselves to be beautiful, changing God’s creation. What is the matter with me that I should not curse the one whom the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, cursed? And peace be upon him in the Book of God. He completed the eighth part of Sahih Al-Bukhari, and it is followed in the ninth part by the chapter on pictures, and praise be to God.

الحمدُ للهِ رب العالمين، أوقفَ مولانا السلطانُ المالكُ الملكُ الأشرفُ أبو النَّصرِ قايتباي عز نصره هذا الكتابَ على طلبةِ العلمِ الشَّريفِ، وجعلَ مقرَّهُ بخزانةِ كُتُبِه بمدرستِه المعروفةِ بإنشائِه بالصحراء، وأن لَا يخرجَ منها برهن ولَا بغيره، بتاريخِ سابع عشرينَ جُمادَى الآخرِ سنةَ إحدى وثمانين، شهِدَ بذلك أحمدُ بنُ عبدِ الرَّحمنِ الإمامُ، وشهِدَ بذلك أبو البقاءِ بنُ يحيى بنِ الجعابِ
