The number of booklets begins at the beginning of leaf 4 with numerical numbering, and the second booklet begins and ends during the tenth booklet. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on renting is hiring a righteous man and God Almighty’s saying: “Indeed, the best one to hire is the strong and trustworthy.” And the trustworthy treasurer, and whoever does not employ him, is the one who wants him. Muhammad ibn Yusuf told us. Sufyan told me, on the authority of Abu Burdah, who said: My grandfather Abu Burdah told me, on the authority of his father, Abu Musa al-Ash’ari, may God be pleased with him. He said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The faithful treasurer who performs what he commands out of good will is one of those who give in charity.” Musaddad narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, on the authority of Qurra bin Khalid, he said: Humaid bin Hilal narrated to me, Abu Burdah narrated to me, on the authority of Abu Musa, may God be pleased with him, who said: I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with two men from the Ash’aris, and I said, “I did not know that they were asking for work.” So he said to him, “Do not assign to me our work, whoever wants it.” ... (Chapter: If he demolishes a wall, let him build something like it) Muslim bin Ibrahim told us, Jarir bin Hazim told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Sirin, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: A man among the children of Israel, called Jurayj, was praying, and his mother came to him and called him, but he refused to answer her... And Jurayj was in his hermitage, and a woman said, “Let me tempt Jurayj,” so she approached him... but he refused... so she gave birth to a boy, so she said, “He is from Jurayj.” So he performed ablution and prayed, then the boy came and said, “Who is your father, boy?” The shepherd said: They said: We will build your hermitage of gold. He said: No, except of clay. Complete the ninth part of Sahih Al-Bukhari... followed by the book “The Company.”
