Notes	The copy is the ninth part of a ten-part division. \| The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. \| “From the beginning of the chapter on pictures to the chapter on confession of adultery.”
Sample Text	Chapter on pictures, Ad told us, Ibn Abi Dhi’b told us... The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Angels do not enter a house in which there are dogs or pictures... Chapter on the punishment of photographers on the Day of Resurrection... He said, I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, say that the people who will be most tormented on the Day of Resurrection are those who make pictures... ... Chapter on confession of adultery, Ali bin Abdullah told us... That he heard Abu Hurairah and Zaid bin Khalid say, “We were with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, I adjure you by God, unless you judge between us according to the Book of God.” Then his opponent, who was more knowledgeable than him, stood up and said, “Judge between us according to the Book of God... This is what I had memorized, except that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was stoned and we were stoned after him. The end of the ninth part... It is followed by the beginning of the tenth, the chapter on stoning a pregnant woman, the possibility of adultery if she is married...
