Chapter on going out in seeking knowledge. His saying (in one hadith) Ibn Battal said it means the hadith of covering up for a Muslim. A man from Medina said to him and he met him in the Levant and heard a hadith from him about injustices and retaliation between the people of Paradise and Hell before they enter... ...Chapter: The person in i’tikaf does not enter the house except for the need of a Muslim’s provision except for the need of a person, and Al-Zuhri interpreted it as urine and defecation, and they agreed to exclude them, and they disagreed on other needs such as eating and drinking, and if he went out for them, he performed ablution. Outside the mosque, it is not invalidated to join them. The qiyyat and fasl are for those who need it. If the person in i'tikaf witnesses a funeral, returns sick, or goes out for Friday prayer, his i'tikaf is invalid, unless he stipulates something of that at the beginning of his i'tikaf, then his i'tikaf is not invalidated.
