Notes When Mehmet Âkif Ersoy (d. 1936) is mentioned, we undoubtedly think of his work Safahat, his enthusiastic sermons and sermons during the War of Independence, and his articles published in Sırât-ı Müstakîm and Sebîlürreşâd magazines, in addition to our national anthem. The Holy Quran forms the basis of Akif's character and morality. When his works are examined from this perspective, it is seen that the most important source that nourishes Akif's spiritual world is the Quran. Beyond being a great poet, Mehmet Akif is also a powerful orator, an effective writer, a good observer and an interpreter of the Quran. The negative conditions of his period and the difficult processes that the Islamic world and our nation went through caused deep pain in Akif's inner world. For this reason, Akif reflected what he experienced throughout his life, the pain, sadness and grief of the society, and the difficulties surrounding the Islamic world in his poems, identified the problems and at the same time offered solutions. In this study, based on Akif's work "Safahat", it has been tried to reveal to what extent the Quran is the source of his poems. In addition, evaluations were made about the place of the Quran in his life and the solutions he proposed to some social problems of his time based on the Quran.
