Notes It is known that linguistic and cultural elements have an important place in societies. Societies find the strength to continue their lives thanks to these elements. The elements in question have existed through oral tradition since the beginning as various products of folk life. Later, these showed a concrete response within the written tradition. Folk narratives are one of these and depict the cultural texture from various angles with the elements they contain. In some folk narratives, the hero's bravery and savior role; In some, the moral lessons intended to be conveyed through it are dominant. In this respect, it has been claimed that folk narratives have universal features as well as spatial and cultural differences. Over time, theories focusing on the hero and proposing common structural principles have developed in folklore studies. J. G. Von Hahn's Aryan Hero Biographical Model, Otto Rank's Hero Pattern, Lord Reglan's Traditional Hero Theory and Eric J. Hobsbawn's Social Bandit or Hero Pattern are among the theories in which heroes in folk narratives are examined in a text-centered manner.
