Many works in different fields have been attributed to Ibnü'l-Cârûd, a prolific scholar. Al-Muntaqā, which is one of these works and focuses only on narrations about fiqh rules, was created with narrations obtained from teachers who are supported in hadith narration. The work was appreciated by the relevant scientific circles and received positive acceptance from Muslims. The overwhelming majority of the 1114 narrations published in the work were accepted as authentic, and the remaining narrations were considered hasan. As a matter of fact, the fact that only twenty-five of the narrations in the work are included in Kütüb-i Sitte is important in terms of confirming the reliability of the work. On the other hand, Ibn al-Jarud was criticized by some scholars because he included in his work narrations from some of his teachers whom he did not recite. However, in some evaluations of the work, some narrations in al-Muntaqa were considered weak. However, in later research on the subject, it was seen that there were no narrations from these scholars in Ibn al-Jarud's al-Muntaqa, and the narrations were not evaluated as weak.
