Notes	The dominant mentality in the Arabian Peninsula during the period of ignorance was irritability; The reflection of this understanding in social life was tribalism. People had to belong to tribes with different statuses. Because the life of people outside the tribe was in danger at all times. For this reason, people coming to the region from outside were first looking for a way to come under the protection of a tribe. As a matter of fact, in the Meccan society, which did not accept the leadership of any tribe, administrative duties were shared and there was no presidency. However, Qusay b. After Kilab's activities, the Quraysh became more prominent. Bani Makhzum is one of the ten tribes belonging to Quraysh. When Islamic historical sources are examined, it is seen that people belonging to this tribe reacted differently to the invitation of Islam. Because Hz. While there are those who are hostile to the Prophet, there are also those who support him. In this article, the attitude of the Banî Makhzûm tribe in the events starting from the period of ignorance until the post-Islamic period is discussed. Because the subject is important in terms of understanding the conditions of the period and the contact of the Islamic invitation with the understanding of tribalism. In accordance with the nature of the subject, descriptive, analytical and inductive methods were followed in the article.
