The Great Seljuk vizier Nizamulmulk stands out with his scientific and mystical qualities as well as his administrative qualities. He continued his education, which he started in his father's house, in Tus, Nishapur, Ghazni and Khorasan. Ahl al-Sunnah fought against the Shiite and Batini sects and took an active role in calming the internal sectarian conflicts. Nizam al-Mulk, who had a Sufi enthusiasm, made an effort to make the Sunni understanding of Sufism dominant in the administration and society. Nizamulmulk, who lived in a vibrant time in scientific and mystical terms; He met and valued some of the important figures in the history of science and Sufism, such as Ebû Saîd Ebü'l-Hayr, Ebü'l-Kâsım Abdülkerim el-Kuşeyrî, Ebû İşâk el-Şîrâzî, İmâmü'l-Harameyn el-Cüveynî and Ebû Hâmid el-Ghazâlî. The person that Nizam al-Mulk valued most was undoubtedly Abu Ali al-Fârmedi. Fârmedi is the sheikh of Nizamülmülk. There is scattered information about Nizam al-Mulk in first-hand sources. In today's studies, it is seen that Nizam al-Mulk's administrative aspects are mostly targeted. In this study, the life of Nizam al-Mulk, his scientific personality, Sufi approaches, relations with Sufis and his sheikh Abu Ali al-Farmadi will be discussed.
