Hz. The invitation of Muhammad (pbuh) encompassed the whole of Arabia in a short time, and later reached the lands outside the peninsula. In the promotion and spread of Islam, Hz. Companions who were educated by the Prophet (pbuh) have a large share. In this respect, it is important to learn about the lives of the companions. However, not all companions were subject to history to the same extent. While some people's lives are reflected in all their aspects, others are described with relative information. Abbas b., one of the chiefs of the Banu Sulaym tribe. Mirdâs is one of the companions about whose life there is not much information. When his life is examined, it is seen that accepting Islam is a moment, but understanding it is a process. As a matter of fact, Abbas b. Mirdas became a Muslim before the conquest of Mecca, and later Hz. He participated in the wars with the Prophet (pbuh), but he did not agree with his share in the distribution of the spoils and objected to the division and asked to be given the large amount given to the tribal chiefs within the scope of Müellefe-i Kulûb. This behavior he exhibits coincides with tribal nervousness rather than Islamic sensitivity. Because the leader of the tribe, Abbas b. Mirdâs expressed his dissatisfaction, thinking that he was seen as inferior to his other counterparts. The incident mentioned is Abbas b. It took place immediately after Mirdas accepted Islam. Later, he, Hz. He duly fulfilled the various duties entrusted to him by the Prophet (pbuh) and participated in the expeditions with him. Hz. After the death of Muhammad (pbuh), he defended Islam against the tribal members who were thinking of apostasy and tried to prevent them from participating in the Ridda events. Although he was not successful in this regard, Abbas b. Mirdâs's efforts show that he is free from the bigotry of irritability. When the life of the Companion is considered in its entirety, it will be seen that changes in people take time, and therefore the settling of Islam in hearts was gradual.
