"el-İlelü's-sağîr", the last part of Tirmidhi's al-Câmi, is one of the first works in which some hadith method subjects were written down. In the last chapter of Ebû Bekir İbnü'l-Arabi's work called Ârizatü'l-ahvezî, which is the first and complete commentary on Câmi, the connection of the section he wrote in six chapters on some hadith procedure issues with "el-İlel" seems to have often gone unnoticed. However, this section is the classification of "el-İlelü's-sağir" and the commentator's additions and additions to the relevant section. On the other hand, the relevant section is important as it was written by a hadith scholar who lived between the mutaqaddimun and mutaahhirun periods in the science of hadith and who was also a jurist and commentator. In some aspects, it bears the characteristics of the mütekaddimun period, and in some aspects, it resembles the compositions of the müteahhirun period. In this section, Ibn al-Arabi's effort to base the hadith method on verses and hadiths as much as possible is remarkable. It is seen that the author benefited from fiqh methodological works when necessary, and that he had original approaches that were not transferred to his later hadith methodological works. With all these aspects, this section of Ârizatü'l-ahvezî on the hadith method is valuable in terms of revealing the stage reached by the science of hadith method in the sixth century of the Hijri.
