The Karbala incident is among the most tragic events in Islamic history. Hz. The torture and martyrdom of Hussein by Yazid's army in Karbala on 10 Muharram 61 is engraved in the memories of the members of the Islamic religion; This tragic event has been remembered and described with sadness for centuries since the moment it occurred. The works produced by the literature of Muslim societies on the Karbala incident became concrete over time and gave birth to a literary genre of maktel-i Hüseyin. As a literary genre, maktel-i Hüseyin, Hz. It is the general name of the works about the martyrdom of Husayn and his relatives in Karbala. The most important work written in the genre of maktel-i Hüseyin in Turkish literature is Fuzulî's work called Hadîkatü's-Süedâ, which was written in the mid-16th century under the influence of Ravzatü'ş-Şühedâ. Hadîkatü's-Süedâ had a great influence on Turkish literature, and new works were written based on this work during and after his era. In this article, the maktel-i Hüseyin text called Tuhfetü'ş-Şühedâ, written by Muhammed bin Hacı Hasan under the influence of Hadîkatü's-Süedâ in the late 17th century, is introduced. In the article, Eğirdirli Şerîfî Mehmed Efendi's Şevâhidü-ş-Şühedâ (16th century) and Darendeli Bekâî's Kitâb-ı Kerbelâ (18th century), written on the basis of Hadîkatü's-Süedâ, are briefly introduced and then the name, author, date of writing and reasons of Tuhfetü'ş-Şühedâ are briefly introduced. Information about copyright, copies and the language of the work is given. Afterwards, a general comparison of the work with Hadîkatü's-Süedâ was made in terms of the number of chapters and the topics it covered, and the additions made by the author of Tuhfetü'ş-Şüheda were stated; Some notable issues in the work are mentioned under subheadings. The work called Tuhfetü'ş-Şühedâ, about whose author there is no information in the sources, is a prose text of maktel-i Hüseyin, in which Fuzûlî's work called Hadîkatü's-Süedâ, written in Turkish, was translated into spoken language through intralingual transfer in 1696 in order to be understood by all readers and listeners, and additions were made by making use of other works written in the same manner while compiling the work.
