Notes	In this article, the term/phrase "Âdetü'l-Kur'ân" (expression and style of the Quran) and the function of this term in the tafsir tradition will be discussed. The term "Adetü'l-Qur'an" is related to the verse and style of the Quran in terms of subject matter. In the classical periods, Fahreddin er-Râzî (d. 606/1210) and many other commentators conceptualized this feature in the Qur'anic language as "Adetü'l-Qur'an". Recently, Ibn Âşûr (d. 1973) opened a separate title on the subject of Âdetü'l-Qur'an in the introduction of his Quran commentary called et-Tahrîr ve't-tenvîr. The intertwined transfer of many issues evaluated within the scope of Âdetü'l-Kur'an, especially many different issues related to tawhid, mead and prophethood, is discussed within the scope of "tenâsübü'l-ây ve's-süver" in the Ulûmü'l-Kur'an literature. The term "Âdâtü'l-Kur'ân" refers to the expressions, styles and forms of expression that have become stereotyped, established and, in a sense, standardized in the language system and syntax of the Quran and have gained a customary character. However, the use of the word "custom" in the general description of the established expression and narrative style of the Quran is a reflection of theological terminology. Being aware of the issues evaluated within the scope of Adetu'l-Qur'an has an important scientific benefit such as better understanding and grasping the language and conceptual world of the Qur'an in general, and the expression, style and style of expression in particular.
