Notes The subject of the study is poetry in Arabs: Man in oral, visual and written culture. Its problem is the universality of the Holy Quran and the religion of Islam, which were revealed to the Arabs, who have an oral culture and advanced literature. When we look at today's culture and communication studies, it is stated that people of oral culture are more backward than people of written and visual culture, their abstract thoughts are not developed, their inner world is not deepened, their individuality is weak, they do not have critical thinking, and they are closed and conservative. However, when we look at the history of Islam, we encounter the exact opposite situation. Because, although the Arabs of Ignorance have an oral culture, they are not behind other written societies; On the contrary, they are the most advanced societies in the world in terms of literature. Prophet of the last religion. Muhammad (pbuh) is also unlettered. However, just as the religion he brought guided many people in the past, it also guides people with written, visual and digital culture today. Culture and civilization are constantly changing. As claimed in communication studies, the revolution created by visual and written culture is not new. Writing has existed since unknown periods of history; There is also visual culture. Since ancient times, people have written, read, and created images such as cave paintings, sculptures, and icons, and they have also read them visually. The aim of the study is to explain the universality of the Quran, which was revealed to Arabs with a visual culture; Its importance is to explain that Arabic poetry appeals not only to oral culture, but also to visual, written, digital and new cultures that will develop. Qualitative method was chosen in the study and document analysis technique was applied. Studies on verbal, visual and written culture were evaluated; Islamic works on language and expression were consulted.
