Notes This article aims to analyze some aspects of Abu Hanifa's understanding of faith from a philosophical perspective. The article first focuses on Abu Hanifa's understanding of religion and his views on the relationship between evidence and faith. Then, his views on the definition of faith, the locality of faith, and the distinction between faith and deeds are discussed, respectively. In the conclusion, the importance of Abu Hanifa's understanding of faith in terms of reason-faith discussions in contemporary philosophy of religion is pointed out. The main theses defended in the article are as follows: 1. Abu Hanifa's understanding of religion is demonstrative; According to him, faith must be based on evidence. 2. In order to define faith and formulate the principles of faith, it is necessary to accept the theory of confirmation. 3. There is a relationship of contradiction, not opposition, between faith and unbelief. 4. The issue of faith-deed distinction is also a debate with legal and political dimensions.
