It was written based on the mistakes made in the grammar exam papers of the second, third and fourth grades in order to form the basis of this study, in which we evaluated the errors found in the grammar exam papers of the students studying at the Turkish Language Department of the Faculty of Humanities of Zakho University. By examining the data we had, it was revealed where and under which headings the errors were made. The main reason for these errors is that they occur as a result of incorporating the grammar of the native language into the grammar of the target language and associating and executing it from the native language to the target language. In addition, it was determined that the most progressive mistakes students made in grammar were the mistakes they made in punctuation, spelling, vocabulary, syntax and the use of suffixes.
