Notes After the Islamic sciences were compiled, an attempt was made to ensure the hierarchy between them. Among these sciences, some problems of the science of tafsir have been taken into consideration and examined, even if they are in later sources, since the Quran is the subject of research with the aim of revealing the divine purpose. Among the sources where issues related to interpretation are discussed and examined, the introduction of Beyzâvî's commentary named Envârü't-tenzîl played an important role. Because the commentaries written on this tafsir reveal its influence on subsequent literature. In his introduction to tafsir, Bayzāwī presents tafsir as the most sublime of religious sciences, and then, on the one hand, accepts it as the original of sciences since it constitutes the basis of religious rules, and on the other hand, requires being proficient in religious and literary sciences in order to do tafsir. Depending on these judgments, in the commentaries and annotations, the question of how tafsir is a superior science, and specifically its superiority over the sciences of kalam and hadith, is discussed. In addition, the problem that tafsir comes before these sciences because it forms the basis of religious sciences and that the acceptance that tafsir can only be made with help from them places tafsir after those sciences is discussed. This article aims to examine the aforementioned problems.
