Notes
Hüsâmeddin Ali el-Bitlisî, who died in 1504 AD, wrote an ishari commentary called Câmi'u't-Tenzîl ve't-Te'vîl, in addition to many Sufi works. Like many Sufis, he saw Allah's Prophet Muhammad for the first time. He claimed that he created the Prophet from his own light and that all other creatures were created from this truth. Sufis base these thoughts on various verses and controversial sayings in terms of authentic hadith techniques. In this article, after giving some basic information about the first emergence of the idea of Hakîkat-i Muhammediye, el-Bitlisî's views on this subject will be included. Because some previous studies on this subject have discussed the historical course of this issue. To avoid repetition, it will be sufficient to point out these studies. According to our determination, al-Bitlisî, together with his understanding of the Truth of Muhammad, is a prophet. Considering that Ali was created from the same light, he developed an understanding called Hakîkat-i Murtazaviyye for the first time. This issue will be discussed under a separate heading in this article.
