Notes Since the fall of Baghdad at the hands of the Mongols in 656 AH / 1258 AD, Iraq's political, economic and social conditions have not stabilized, as waves of occupation came in succession in the land of Mesopotamia, the last of which was the Ottoman era, which lasted for four centuries. In the first section, the researcher tried to shed light on the primitive schools, which were represented by the Kuttab, which were concerned with memorizing the Holy Qur’an for children through indoctrination, then the scientific - Sharia - schools, which he called (schools) metaphorically. The second section dealt with the emergence of modern governmental, private, and foreign schools. The third section was devoted to studying vocational education and secondary schools. The researcher relied on primary sources, including Osmaniyya descendants, documents of the Ministry of the Interior during the royal era, and evaluation of Iraq for the year 1922 and other books that are considered pioneers in their field, such as (The Beginning of the Path) by Sabiha Sheikh Dawud, in addition to a number of works by academic historians, including, but not limited to, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Khalil Al-Allaf, Prof. Dr. Imad Abdel Salam Raouf, Prof. Dr. Tariq Al-Hamdani, in addition to memoirs and personal interviews.
Görüntüle Mağallat abhāt kulliyyat al-tarbiyat al-asāsiyyat (Online), 2012, Vol.11 (4), p.694-713
