Notes
The research aims to collect interpreters and their efforts in interpretation during the era of the Ottoman Empire, in Anatolia and the Balkans. To demonstrate the size of the scientific movement in Qatar, one of the countries of Islam. To contribute to serving the Book of God Almighty, and to enrich the library of interpretation. The research consists of three sections, which dealt with an introduction to the science of classes, the classes of interpreters before the millennium AH, and the classes of interpreters after the millennium AH. The research reached the following results: The number of works on interpretation collected in this research reached two hundred and sixty-one interpretations of the Qur’an and its sciences, and a few of them are in the Turkish language. Some of the interpretations are printed and circulated, while others are still in manuscript or are lost, although they differ in size, approach, and direction. The interpretations varied in terms of being a complete interpretation of the Qur’an, or singling out some surahs and verses for interpretation. The large number of interpreters, regardless of their beliefs, sects, trends, and languages, so the number of interpreters for them in the research reached one hundred and seventy interpreters. Some commentators are interested in teaching interpretation, and they did not find any books on interpretation, but they became famous as commentators. Some of them combined teaching and writing, or wrote alone. Many commentators in these centuries held the position of judge; This confirms their knowledge of Islamic sciences and their scientific competence.
