Notes
There are some sources in the history of Algeria that have lost their origins, while their copies remain in languages other than the original languages in which they were written. Among the sources that suffered from this matter is the book (Mirror of Algeria) by Ali Reda Pasha, as we find it in the Ottoman and Turkish languages, while we hardly find a mention of it in Arabic, which led to this source and its author remaining unknown to most researchers and historians. In addition to the above, we find another reason that contributed to the book not appearing, which is that it shares the same The title and another book is “The Mirror” by Hamdan bin Othman Khoja, the father of Ali Reda Pasha, and a number of researchers imagined that they were one book, when in fact the matter is exactly the opposite, as will come. If this was decided, it would be necessary for us to work to re-present this book and its author, “Ali Reda Pasha,” in their true form as a historical source and Algerian science.
