De elementis secundum Hippocratem libri II
(Περὶ τῶν καθ' Ἱπποκράτην στοιχείων βιβλία β'; in Elements according to the opinion of Hippocrates) translated from the Greek by Ḥunayn ibn Isḥāq (Hunayn ibn Ishaq; d. 873).
Beginnings (f. 157r, lines 8-9):
... There are three types of elements, some of which are distant elements that are widespread
All composite bodies, namely fire, air, water, and earth
Ends (f. 176r, lines 13-16):
...If it attracts laxatives
When these humors are cleansed, what is in the veins is strongly attracted
And its violence with the confusion that the laxative medicine is specific to is another confusion
