Notes	Supercommentary by Sadīd al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Mas‘ūd al-Kāzarūnī (Sadīd al-Dīn Muhammad ibn Masoud al-Kāzīrūnī; d. 1357) on Ibn al-Nafīs’ (Ibn al-Nafīs; 1210 or 1211-1288) Sharḥ Kullīyāt al-Qānūn (Explanation of the Universalities of Law), itself a commentary on Book One (known as the 'Universals' [ kullīyāt , universals]) of Avicenna's (Ibn Sīnā, Ibn Sina; d. 1037) Canon of Medicine (Law in Medicine). The commentary deals with sections (Arts) Three (ff. 1v-129r) and Four (ff. 129v-150v) only. The copy was transcribed from the author's autograph by Maḥmūd ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Shaybānī (Mahmoud ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shabani), and completed on 22 Ramaḍān 770/13 April 1369 (see colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. , f. 150v, lines 12-16, transcribed below). Folios 1r and 151r-v contain a long medical extracts written by the same hand. The extract on f. 1r is from Plato's Book of Herbs (Book of Weeds); those on ff. 151r-v are from the writings of various medical authors. Begins (f. 1v, lines 4-7): The eminent Imam, Qarn al-Hukamā, and eminent doctors, said: Sheikh Alaa al-Din Ali bin Abi al-Hazm al-Qurashi May God have mercy on him, the third art is about diseases related to one organ, their causes and signs And its treatments, said the commentator, the scholar, unique in his time and the only one of his time, the best of historians, the wise and the perfect The honorable doctor, my master, my master, and my teacher, Mawlana of good faith and religion, Al-Kazerouni, may God perpetuate his virtues... Ends (f. 150v, lines 1-11): For it contains everything that they mentioned in their books, along with many good deeds, valuable unique things, and abundant benefits that were not included in those books. What was said in his entire book, The Hunt in the Jawf al-Farra, is true, and therefore I have relied on it in most places in its entirety If Hudhaam said it, then believe her, for what Hudhaam said would be forgiven and my family would be forgiven and thanked for their efforts Thanking those who seek righteousness and those who call for success, and praise be to God who guided us to this, and we would not have been an Indian if God had not guided us.
