It is stated in the original colophon that the work was composed 1183 [1769]., Collation: Paper ; fol. 37 + i; catchwords ; Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 23 lines per page; Description: Text in red and commentary in black; watermarks ; MS in good condition., Origin: According to colophon copy completed 5 Rajab 1227 by Ḥasan, known as Rawayʻah al-Abrāshī (fol. 37b)., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Him who created the celestial bodies and managed them with His wisdom... And then the poor one says to God, Ahmad Ibn al-Sheikh Ahmad al-Sajja’i al-Shafi’i. This is a nice explanation and a noble restriction. To the letter of the scholar Shams al-Din al-Sheikh Muhammad, known by the tribe of al-Mardini called Laqt al-Jawahir..., Colophon: At the hands of the poor Hasan, who was called Rawi`a al-Abrashi, may God forgive his transgressions and may God cover his faults. It took place in Rajab of the year 1227, and God knows best. Thank God it's done Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather.
