It is stated in the original colophon that the work was composed 1183 [1769]., Collation: Paper ; fol. 37 + i ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 23 lines per page ; ruled., Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; watermarks ; MS in good condition., Origin: According to colophon copy completed 5 Rajab 1227 by Ḥasan, known as Rawayʻah al-Abrāshī (fol. 37b)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم حمدا لمن خلق الافلاك ودبرها بحکمته ... وبعد فيقول الفقير الي الله احمد ابن الشيخ احمد السجاعي الشافعى هذا شرح لطيف وتقييد منيف لرسالة العلامه شمس الدين الشيخ محمد المعروف بسبط المارديني المسماه لقط الجواهر ..., Colophon: على يد الفقير حسن المکنى برَويعة الابراشي غفر الله له الزلات وستر الله له العورات. تمت في رجب سنة 1227 والله اعلم. تم بحمد الله تم | Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Green paper pastedowns. | Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1904. | Hitti, P.
