Notes Commentary on Talkhīṣ al-Miftāḥ by Jalāl al-Dīn Muhammad ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥman al-Qazwīnī, an abridgment of the third part of the Miftāḥ al-ʻulūm, a treatise on rhetoric by Sirāj al-Dīn Yusuf ibn Abi Bakr al-Sakkākī. | Ms. codex., Title supplied by cataloger., Marginal and interlinear annotations, apparently by the same hand as the main text. Several inscriptions in Arabic and Persian on fol. 1a. Inscription in Roman script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "No. 17 [next line] M. T."., Description: 20-21 lines per page. Written in small round script in black ink with use of red to outline the commented text. Biscuit thin friable paper with laid lines and pulp visible., Origin: According to the colophon, copy completed in Ṣafar 818 by Ḥasan ʻAlī ibn Muhammad Qasim Tunkābunī (colophon, fol. 329a). The facts of the meaning and the minutes of the statement ... And then the most virtuous of the presentation and the first step in receiving honor is the analysis of the facts of science and knowledge ... [5a] In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, open the book after the oath of office, Praise be to Allah, Explicit: Because of the notebooks, it is impossible to indicate who they are except to know the unseen From the friars with the distribution of the wings and the situation ... But Allah has covered the words of strength and wealth for our children and provided us with these goals Later type III (without flap) binding in dark brown leather over paper pasteboards. Blue paper pastedowns. Spine damaged. Disbound. | The ownership statement is signed by Ibn ʻAbd Allāh Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Mazandarānī al-Mulaqqab bi-al-Muqrī, with seal reading "Jalāl al-Dīn ..." on fol. 1a.
