ملاحظات Commentary on Talkhīṣ al-Miftāḥ by Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Qazwīnī, an abridgment of the third part of the Miftāḥ al-ʻulūm, a treatise on rhetoric by Sirāj al-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Abī Bakr al-Sakkākī. | Ms. codex., Title supplied by cataloger., Marginal and interlinear annotations, apparently by the same hand as the main text. Several inscriptions in Arabic and Persian on fol. 1a. Inscription in Roman script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "No. 17 [next line] M. T."., Description: 20-21 lines per page. Written in small round script in black ink with use of red to overline the commented text. Biscuit thin friable paper with laid lines and pulp visible., Origin: According to the colophon, copy completed in Ṣafar 818 by Ḥasan ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad Qāsim Tunkābunī (colophon, fol. 329a)., Incipit: الحمد لله الذى الهمنا حقايق المعاني ودقايق البيان ... وبعد فانّ احقّ الفضايل بالتقديم واسبقه فى استيجاب التعظيم هو التحلى بحقايق العلوم والمعارف ... [5أ] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله افتتح كتابه بعد التيمن بالتسمية بحمد الله سبحانه, Explicit: بها الدفاتير بل لا يمكن الاطلاع على كنهها الا لعلّام الغيوب هذا آخر ما اردنا جمعه من الفوايد ونظمه من الفرايد مع توزع البال وتشتت الاحوال ... لكن الله جلت كلمته قد وفّقنا للاتمام ورزقنا الفوز بهذا المرام والحمد لله ربى الانعام والصلوة على محمد وآله عليه وعليهم السلام | Later type III (without flap) binding in dark brown leather over paper pasteboards.
