After the colophon is a note of collation., Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 42 + (1); catchwords ; Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 21 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red., Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (later flyleaf only: coat-of-arms with roman-alphabet letters "EV" topped with crescents; text: roman-alphabet lettering "..GR..ET"); MS in good condition., Decoration: Illuminated headpiece with red, blue, black and gold (fol. 1b)., Origin: Probably from the latter part of the XVIIIth century. Written by ʻĀmir[?] Muḥammad al-Manūfī al-Shāfiʻī al-Izmīrī., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and in Him is my trust. Praise be to those who rewarded us with good following... This is what some distinguished and skilled people asked me to do..., Colophon: The vacation of our Sheikh Al-Hashtouki has ended and I have turned away from it. Mention of other holidays will take a long time to come, but this amount is enough, and God knows best. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions, and may peace be upon Muhammad Al-Munoufi Al-Shafi’i Al-Azhari at the hand of his poor scribe.
