A collection of the ijāzahs of al-Damanhūrī from his professors. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., A few marginal notes and glosses. After the colophon is a note of collation., Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 42 + (1) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 21 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red., Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (later flyleaf only: coat-of-arms with roman-alphabet letters "EV" topped with crescents; text: roman-alphabet lettering "..GR..ET") ; MS in good condition., Decoration: Illuminated headpiece with red, blue, black and gold (fol. 1b)., Origin: Probably from latter part of the XVIIIth century. Written by ʻĀmir[?] Muḥammad al-Manūfī al-Shāfiʻī al-Izmīrī., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه ثقتي حمدا لمن حلانا بحسن الاتباع ... هذا ما التمس مني بعض الافاضل الماهرين ..., Colophon: انتهت اجازة شيخنا الهشتوکي و قد اعرضت عن ذکر اجازات اخرى يطول جلبها وفي هذا القدر کفاية و الله اعلم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه و سلم على يد کاتبه الفقير على محمد المنوفي الشافعي الازهري غفر الله له و لوالديه امين امين امين | Later type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather and paper with block-pressed design.
