Notes
Nighaṇṭubhāṣya, a commentary on the Naighaṇṭukam which contains the rare words of
Ṛgveda contains and explains through passages and gives the etymology of the same.
From Devarāja, who lived in a village near Raṅgeśapurī, son of Yajñeśvara,
grandson of Devarāja Yajvan. - Folia 129. 130 are mistakenly named after fol. 134 bound.
According to fol. 160 is followed by two sheets with the numbers 160, 159 Devarāja is neither a learned grammarian nor a skilled etymologist. He gives
often two or three, mostly incorrect, derivations. But he has a good acquaintance
with the Vedic literature, and we owe him the communication of authors and
Schriften, die wir zuerst aus seinem Werke kennen lernen. I only share the most important ones
