Notes Mehmed Kemâleddîn, Harîrîzâde's work on the history of Sufism. At the beginning of the work, which Harîrîzâde introduces with the statement "this book is my forty-first book" (Gölpınarlı 2015: 327), Yenikapı Mevlevi Lodge Sheikh Osman Selâhaddîn There are quotes by Dede (d. 1887) and Abdüllatîf el-Halebî (Harîrîzâde vr. IVb-Va). The work is Hocazâde Ahmed Hilmi's (d. 1914) Hadikatü'l-Evliyâ, which was written about the history of Sufism and sects in the Ottoman period. It constitutes the main source of works such as Hüseyin Vassâf's (d. 1929) Sefîne-i Evliyâ and Sâdık Vicdânî's (d. 1939) Tomar-ı Turuk-ı Aliyye (Çiçek 2012: 128). Although it is generally considered as a source of the history of Sufism and an encyclopedia of sects, it is seen that brief or detailed information about some Sufi concepts and issues is included from time to time (Çiçek 2016: 576). As a matter of fact, in the introduction part of the work, subjects such as "suggesting dhikr", "allegiance", "taking a will and covenant", "wearing a cardigan", "sheikh", "authorization" and "caliphate" were examined under the title of "ore" in the light of various arguments such as verses, hadiths and Sufi sayings (Harîrîzâde vr. 2b-11a). Later, the five main sects operating in the history of Sufism are Hz. Muhammediyye (Harîrîzâde vr. 11b-13a), Sıddîkiyye (Harîrîzâde vr. 13a-18b), Ömeriyye (Harîrîzâde vr. 19a-21a), Osmaniyye, attributed to the Prophet and the Rashidun Caliphs (Harîrîzâde vr. 21a-23b) and Aleviyye (Harîrîzâde vr. 23a-32b). Thus, Hz. The dhikr that the Prophet instilled in each of the Rightly Guided Caliphs is conveyed in detail and the place and importance of Sufism in Islam is pointed out (Çiçek 1989-1992: 437). Later, the sects that emerged from the Age of Saadet until the author's lifetime were listed with the "hurûf-ı hecâ" system. While introducing sects in the work, if the sect introduced is a branch/branch of a sect, it is first stated which branch/branch of the sect it is and the identity of the sheikh concerned and his date of death are given. Harîrîzâde, who also includes information about the sheikh's life, mystical life, legends, miracles, and mystical views, also records the lineage of the sect. He also mentioned sources where more detailed information about the sect and its sheikh can be obtained (Çiçek 2016: 576). Although the sources, which number around 240, are generally basic sources about the history of Sufism, there are also works of etiquette, evrad and prayer magazines, and some letters and treatises (Çiçek 2012: 129). This richness increases the value of the work and adds a different feature to it. The work, written in 3 volumes, consists of 1016 leaves. It is understood from the waiver record at the end of the third volume that it was copied by Şeyh Bekir Sıddıkî in 1297/1879 (Çiçek 2016: 575-576). The dominant language in the work, which occasionally includes Arabic and Persian texts, is Arabic (Çiçek 2016: 576). The work is registered in a single copy in the Süleymaniye Library İbrâhim Efendi Department with the number 000430. Although the work is described by many people as a fundamental work that will fill a big gap, no sufficient study has been done on the work yet. However, Prof. prepared the work as his associate professor thesis in 1982. Dr. There is information that the research of the work was completed by Yakup Çiçek and it was prepared for printing by the Turkish Historical Society (Çiçek 2016: 576).
