Notes
Yarangümeli (Tavas) Kureyşi-zâde Mehmed Fevzî Efendi, who was known as the "Mufti of Edirne" during his lifetime - in reference to one of his duties - was the son of Hz. His work, which consists of the verses he wrote addressing the Prophet. Tevessülâtü'l-Fevziyye fi'n-Nu'ûti'n-Nebeviyye, was written by Mehmed Fevzî Efendi while he was serving as regent of Kayseri in 1303/1884-85. The work, arranged in divan style in alphabetical order, is in Arabic, Persian and Turkish. It consists of 1011 couplets. Some chapters in the work are written in a mixture of Turkish and Persian, while others are written only in Arabic. There are eleven na'ts in Arabic in the work. The total of the couplets in the na'ts written only in Arabic and found in different places is 168. There are explanations in Arabic, Persian and Turkish in some couplets. The explanations in question are included in the sections where only Arabic na'ts are found. Mehmed Fevzî Efendi begins his work with basmala, hamdele and salvele in accordance with the na't tradition. Here, he describes himself as a helpless and rebellious servant and describes his work as Hz. He states that he complies in order to receive the intercession of the Prophet. He then mentions that the Quran is a miracle sent down to the Prophet, that he guides people and will intercede for his nation on the day of judgment, and that those who follow his sunnah and sharia will attain true happiness. Besides these, Hz. It also touches upon the Prophet's exemplary morality, his superior creation, his beautiful characteristics, his war against the polytheists and his miracles. In the last chapter of the work, the prayer section, Fevzî Efendi, Hz. He expressed his heartfelt devotion to the Prophet and asked for his intercession (Adam 2021: 41-52). Mehmed Fevzî Efendi, who wrote his work adhering to the traditional na't style, conveyed his feelings to the reader in a simple and sincere style - although he sometimes resorted to figures of speech.
