Abu Muhammad Abdullah b. Commentary written by Hanbelîzâde Mehmed Efendi on the work called Arûzu'l-Endelüsî written by Muhammed el-Ensârî el-Endelüsî (d. 459/ 1065). Endelusî's work was widely read and taught among classical period scholars and in Ottoman madrasahs; Many commentaries and annotations have been made on the work (Bakırcı and Çöğenli 2005: 268). In line with this tradition, Hanbelîzâde Mehmed Efendi also wrote a commentary on Arûzu'l-Endelüsî. The real name of the work, which is mentioned as "Commentary to Arûz-ı Endelüsî" in Nevîzâde Atâyî (d. 1045/ 1635)'s Şakâik Zeyli, is determined as "el-Hadâ'iku'l-ünsiyye fî bilgi'l-hakâ'iki'l-Endelüsiyye" (Donuk 2017: 341, İzgi 2000: 68, Zeytinoğlu Collection. 43 ZE 511. 2a). Although it is reported that the author's copy of the work is registered in al-Mektebetü'l-Halviyye in Aleppo (İzgi 2000: 69), the only copy identified and obtained is in the Zeytinoğlu District Public Library in Tavşanlı, 43 ZE. It is registered with archive number 511. It cannot be determined whether the copy has a copyist, writing date and author line. This copy, written in Naskh calligraphy, has a total of 41 leaves. In the first three pages of the work, Andalusî and his work are mentioned, focusing on the Islamic religion's approach to poetry, and general information about the written commentary is given. In the following sections, in-depth explanations are given about various issues of aruz meter with references taken from Aruz al-Andalusî. Here and there, Cevherî (d.?), Zamahşerî (d. 538/ 1144), Abu'l-Abbas Ahmed el-Mevsûlî (d.?), Zeccâc (d. 311/ 923), Ahfeş (d.?) etc. The work, which includes the opinions of scholars, also focuses on some controversial aruz issues.
