Notes
In some sources, it is attributed to Ali Dede Bosnevi, known as the "Turbe Sheikh", but his son İbrahim b. Work on Sufi issues by Ali el-Bosnevi. It was written in the style of the author's father, Ali Dede Bosnevî's book Havâtimü'l-Hikem, which focuses on secrets on various issues. The full name of the work is Terbî'u'l-Merâtib ve'l-Usûl Netâyicü Efkâri'l-Fühûl min Erbâbi'l-Vüsûl. (4a). Bosnevî named his work as "terbî'/quatrain" because he generally examined the subjects he discussed in quadruplets. İbrahim Bosnevî says that he wrote his work for the sake of Allah/livechillah. Its addressees, in particular the brotherhood community, are generally the aspirants among the believers. He wrote it especially for his son "Sa'deddin Ahmed". He stated that he did not write in a way that was too short or too contrived to be understood, and that he followed a style that could be understood without tiring the addressee (2b). The language of the work is Arabic. However, there are also some phrases in Persian (26b-28a; 75a). The reason why Bosnevi wrote the work was that most of the suluk scholars of his time were not competent in science, especially in "ilm-i tevil", which is specific to Sufi experience. Bosnevi described himself as an expert in this field. Since he could not find the issues written here in the books of the contractor scholars, he wrote this summary in the language of "scholars who brought knowledge and knowledge together". The work consists of an introduction, four rukuns and a epilogue. In the introduction; The benefits of studying the work and the expected goal of writing the work are discussed. First rukun; It includes the bismillah, al-Fatiha and the quatrain/quatrain of some Qur'anic verses. Second rukun; It contains the secret of the levels of monotheism and the discipline of the Kaaba. In addition, in this ruke, the legends of the Prophet (pbuh) and the "four-fold/ala tarîkı't-terbî'" schema are also touched upon. Third rune; It is about the ledunni secrets and knowledge that are included in the quadruple in the Sufi books that are respected among the scholars. The fourth pillar; It is allocated to the four types of customs, manners and worship. Hatime, on the other hand, is about knowledge, ulema and sheikhs. The author himself mentioned the sources of his work: Sufi commentaries, the commentaries of Necmeddin Dâye, Kâşânî and Kuşeyrî, the books of İbnü'l-Arabi, Konevi and İbnü'l-Fârız. Saying "My father is deceased", he mentioned that his father Ali Dede Bosnevî's book Es'iletü'l-Hikem was one of the sources. Apart from this, Süyûtî, el-İtkân, Câmî, Nefehâtü'l-Üns, etc. He also consulted other sources such as: It is seen that Bosnevi emphasizes Ahl al-Sunnah regarding the sources. Apart from these, his book Kenzü'l-Esrâr, which is unknown, is one of his sources. It is the only copy of the work and is located in Süleymaniye Library, Esad Efendi Collection, number 1773. It is 76 sheets. The date of copyright of the work is Tuesday in the month of Shaban, 1051/November-December 1641. (75b). Ten years after the work was written, with the permission of its author, on 2 Safer 1061/25 January 1651, Mustafa b. It was copied by Durak. The copyist stated that he copied, with the author's permission, from the author's manuscript of İbrahim Bosnevi, whom he described as "Şeyhu'ş-şuyûh el-Şeyh İbrahim el-Bosnevi b. el-Şeyh Ali Efendi (k.s.)" (76a). For the author's biography, see "Ali Dede, Bosnevî".Turk. Dictionary of Literary Names.
