Notes
Ya'kûb Afvî's Hz. It is a work about the necessity and importance of praying for the Prophet and the subtleties of this subject. He completed the writing on 11 Shawwal 1147 (6 March 1735). The oldest copy we could detect is between pages 9b-45b of the magazine registered at number 392 in the Hüdaî Efendi collection of the H. Selimağa Library. This magazine, which also includes Sheikh Afvî's other two works, was copied by Hasan Efendizâde Mehmed Azîz Efendi, one of the former judges of Galata who was also a judge in Plovdiv. According to the information in the waiver record of the copy, which is understood to have been copied from the author's copy, its copying was completed on 29 Dhukāde 1148 (11 April 1736). The other two manuscripts are registered in the Süleymaniye collection of the Süleymaniye Library, number 746, and in the collection of Esad Efendi, number 1798. Written in Arabic, al-Vesîle was written by the sheikh of second-hand booksellers, Seyyid Ahmed b. Abdullah translated it. The translator gave additional information about the companions of the companions of the hadiths in the first part, by using Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani's al-Isaba. The work consists of six chapters. In the first chapter, Hz. There are hadiths about sending blessings and greetings to the Prophet. The order to send blessings on the Prophet is "Surely Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe! Send blessings and greet him too." It starts with the verse (Ahzab 33/36). In this context, the religious rule of salah is included in the scope of the order of Hz. Issues such as whether the Prophet's person was included or not were discussed. Then come the texts and explanations of one hundred and forty-seven hadiths, listed alphabetically. Hz. The benefits of salawat on the Prophet are the subject of the second chapter. The author says that these benefits are too many to count. The fact that the believer who fulfills the command of salawat consents to Allah and His angels at that moment is only one of the benefits. With the evidence of the verses and hadiths, Sheikh Afvî talked about many worldly and otherworldly benefits of salawat. In the third chapter, there are narrations about the virtue of salawat on the Prophet at certain times and in some situations determined by the scriptures. Friday and night are among these times. In addition to sacred and specific times such as the months of Rajab and Shaban, the importance of praying for the Prophet during ablution and ghusl, after adhan, during prayer times, and when entering and leaving the mosque, which are among the religious-practical routines of Muslims, has been pointed out. In the fourth chapter, the author has compiled some stories about the importance of salawat in order to confirm the reader's belief and encourage him to do it. The meaning of salah and the explanation of terms such as prophethood and prophethood are discussed in the fifth chapter under the title "Useful information about salah to the Prophet". In the sixth chapter, Hz. Some of the miracles of the Prophet are explained. el-Vesîletü'l-Uzmâ is not a work that only compiles narrations about the importance of salawat. Based on the narrations, the author touched upon theological and fiqh issues related to the subject and analyzed the words in terms of grammar. In addition to authentic hadith books, theological and fiqh scholar Ebû Abdullah el-Halîmî's el-Minhâc fî Şuabi'l-îmân, Vâhidî's Esbâbu'n-nuzul, Kadı Iyâz's Eş-Şifâ, Nevevî's fiqh works. Ravzatü'ṭ-ṭâlibîn ve umdetü'l-müttaḳîn, Kurtubî's et-Teẕkire fî aḥvâli'l-mevtâ ve umûri'l-âḫire and Kastalânî's Mesâlikü'l-hunefâ are among the works that the author used. Some of them are.
