Notes	Written in Taʿlīq script one column, 19 lines per page in black ink The work conveys Timurleng's life story and conquests in chapters. Ibn Arab-shah [Ahmed b. Abdullah b. This famous work, written in Arabic by Arab-şâh el-Dımışkî] (791-854 / 1389-1450), has two translations into Turkish by Nazmi-zade Murtaza. When the first translation was criticized for its heavy language, Murtaza translated the work a second time in a more understandable Turkish upon the order of Baghdad governor Ismail Pasha. This work is the second translation, which is relatively simpler and more understandable. The copy is valuable because it was compiled while the translator was alive. The work was first published in the Müteferrika press under the name Tarih-i Timur-ı Gürgen (Küregen) in 1142/1729-30 with the introduction of İbrahim Müteferrika himself.
