Notes
It is the work of Yirmisekiz Mehmed Çelebi, who was the French ambassador of the Sublime Porte in 1720, known as "Sefaretname-i France" and "Sefaretnâme-i Yirmisekiz Mehmed Çelebi Efendi". It is in Ottoman language. This copy was edited by Ali Suavi with the name "It is the report of the ambassador Mehmed Efendi who went to France in the year one thousand one hundred and thirty-two". On the title page of the Ottoman section of the book, Ali Suavi states that he started to publish the book he organized under the title "Advertisement" and the name "Ulema" in three volumes. It provides information about the content of the volumes and purchasing conditions. On the following pages, there is Ali Suavi's article about the publication of Mehmed Efendi's report. In the additional pages at the end of the book, a two-page glossary is given under the title "Takrirde Mezkur Kelimat-ı Ecnebiye". Publication information of the work is available on the French imprint cover at the back. On the French cover, the title of the work is given as "Tacryr ou relation de Mohammed Efendi a Ibrahim Pacha". On the pages following the French imprint page, there is Ali Suavi's article on the publication of the work in French.
