The work is the translation of Ibn Hallikan's work called Vefeyâtü'l- A'yân. This copy is the first volume of the work. On the last page of the work, Ebu'l Hasan Ali b. of the second volume. There is a note that he will start with Abbas.

There is an index on the first seven pages of the work. In addition, the number of leaves of the work was determined by counting the leaves of the work. In the field of physical description, information on binding and illumination characteristics was taken from the Suleymaniye manuscripts identification slips. The work consists of biographies of people who gained fame in many fields such as scholars, mujtahids, poets, scientists, judges, historians and geographers from the time of Islam until the period when the Great Seljuk State ruled.
