Notes	An urjūzah of over 20,000 verses mainly on jurisprudence but also discusses theology and grammar. The work is in two parts, the first of which is incomplete at the end. It is also known as Manẓūmat al-Kamāl or Durr al-maqāl and is based on the great standard works of Shāfiʻite law. \| Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., Marginal notes and glosses. al-Juzʼ 2 begins on folio 129a. Unnumbered folio after folio. 170., Collection: Paper ; fol. 402 ; catchwords; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 25 lines per page in two columns., Description: Rubricated ; verse separators in red; MS in fair condition; foxed and stained with dampness., Origin: Probably from the XVIIth century. Very rare., Incipit: In the name of * God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, a Lord who is pleased with the creation. Praise be to God first and last Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled decorative edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Blue paper pastedowns. \| Ownership signatures include: Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Saqqāf; Ḥusayn ibn ʻUmar [..] dated 1121; ʻAbd al-[..] ibn Muḥammad Hilāl; Muḥammad ibn ʻAlī [..] dated 939 (fol. 1a); Muḥammad ibn al-Shihnah al-Shāfiʻī; Nāṣir al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Shāmī al-Mālikī; Ḥusayn [..] ibn ʻUmar al-Rāwī; ʻAbd al-Ghanī ibn Muḥammad Hilāl (fol. 129a).
