An urjūzah of over 20,000 verses mainly on jurisprudence but also discusses theology and grammar. The work is in two parts, the first of which is incomplete at the end. It is also known as Manẓūmat al-Kamāl or Durr al-maqāl and is based on the great standard works of Shāfiʻite law. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., Marginal notes and glosses. al-Juzʼ 2 begins on folio 129a. Unnumbered folio after fol. 170., Collation: Paper ; fol. 402 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 25 lines per page in two columns., Description: Rubricated ; verse separators in red ; MS in fair condition; foxed and stained with dampness., Origin: Probably from the XVIIth century. Very rare., Incipit: بسم * الله الرحمن الرحيم رب يسر بالكري[م] * الحمد لله العظيم ذي الکمال * والاقتدار والجلال والجمال ..., Ending: وحررت بالحجر في شهر رجب * فالشکر لله علينا قد وجب * اذ کان في شهر حرام وحرم * والحجر والبيت العتيق والحرم * فنسأل الله القبول والرضى * بما قضى والعفوعن ذنب مضى. لله الحمد اولا وآخرا | Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled decorative edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap.
