It is stated in the preface that it would be appropriate if the work were entitled al-Maqṣid al-asmāʼ fī muṭābaqat ism kull sūrah lil-musammá., Collection: Paper ; fol. 238 ; catchwords; quires signed: 18-24 (first 17 quires unsigned); modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 25 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (three crescents); MS in good condition. MS is rare., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad. Praise be to God who knows the surahs of the Qur’an with what indicates their purposes... And then this is a book I have called the Ascendants of Consideration..., Colophon: The proof for it has ended with the editing and selection according to the amount of effort and energy, and God grants success to what is right, and He is my suffice and best disposer of affairs. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions | Later type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather and marbled paper.
