From this copy, the calligrapher (Abd al-Razzaq bin Mulla Muhammad al-Hajj Falih) transmitted a copy, which is kept in the library of graduate books at the College of Arts of the University of Baghdad (No. 61. Sample Text Basmalah... Praise be to God, who remains after the annihilation of His everlasting creation. There is no annihilation or disappearance of His kingdom. May blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the best of his creation, his family, and his entire family. And then: The writer of these papers says that people are most in need of the Creator, Abdullah bin Fathallah Al-Baghdadi, nicknamed Al-Ghayath, may God forgive them both: that due to the large number of temptations and the frequent tribulations that took place in the land of Iraq, no one has confirmed their dates from the time of Sheikh Hassan to the present day, firstly: due to the lack of people of this knowledge and no one to look into it. Secondly: Most of them are histories of injustice and aggression that it is better to abandon than to mention, because this period that we are in is called the era of abandonment, and it began from the year 616, close to the date of the extinction of the Arab state and the beginning of the Turkish state. Its duration is 640 years, and its explanation will come in another place..., so it occurred to me to write these papers with some of what happened in our time in the land of Iraq, and to add to it some news of the past time as a matter of brevity. What happened from the time of Adam, peace be upon him, to the days of Sultan Abu Said, is taken from the book System of History by Judge Nasser al-Din Omar al-Baydawi, and others. I did not copy it from the time of Sheikh Hassan to this day, but rather I copied it from papers and footnotes, and most of it is from the words of narrators, and some of what happened in our time and its writers are knowledgeable. So I wrote that and contained it in these papers... and made it an introduction and six chapters, and I called it Al-Ghayathi History.
