Notes In his book, Al-Nakati chose the Christian arrangement and preferred it to the arrangement chosen by Abu Al-Hussein and Ahmed Ibn Muhammad Ibn Qasim in their explanation. It was arranged in seven articles, the first in twenty-five chapters, the first of which was: “Life is short, industry is long, time is short, experience is dangerous, and judgment is difficult.” The beginning of the second article: “If sleeping during an illness causes pain, then that is a harbinger of signs of death, but if it helps, it is not part of it.” The article includes fifty-four chapters. The beginning of the third article: “The reversal of the times of the year is what causes diseases in particular.” It includes thirty-three chapters.
Sample Text When I saw copies of the chapters of Hippocrates differing in order, missing chapters of some articles and adding chapters, I decided to arrange them in a better order and complete and complete the number of their chapters without adding anything. Therefore, I had to edit the appropriate footnotes due to the decrease in the chapters and their addition in the margins of this book, and when I saw the copy of Al-Qurashi, Al-Christi, and Ibn Abi Sadiq... and each of them tried to arrange it in the best order... Rather, Al-Christian claimed in his explanation that Hippocrates classified his “Book of Chapters” in the same way that Abu Sahl Al-Christi followed, and he also mentioned after each chapter something similar to what appeared before it, and others disagreed, each with different purposes... Al-Qurashi mentioned in his explanation what is close to that.
